by the glow of the monitor...

Kevin comes home from London tomorrow night!

Weeeeee!

You know as they say, absence makes the heart grow fonder. We haven't really been in contact the whole time he was gone, save a few emails. Last time he was in the UK, we ran up an horrendous phone bill, so we cut back on that, naturally. What a great Valentine's Day gift... he will be off of work, as will I. We get the whole day together, which is really all I want. neomeds.net

Do you celebrate Valentine's day, and how? Gifts, flowers, candy, cards? All of the above, none of the above?

I really don't care much for V-Day. I did everything right last year and I got broken up with the next day.

I'm currently seeing someone but we're not planning on doing anything - we've both traditionally eschewed the holiday, viewing it as something created by the greeting card industry to make money and irritated the perpetually single. :D

we traditionally go out to dinner or something... nothing too fancy, just spending time. as much as I tell him not to get flowers or anything fancy, he'll do it to spite me :P

E, it could be worse, tho... in Japan, V-Day is a day where the women ONLY give men chocolates, and eventually the greeting card/chocolate industry created "White Day" on March 14th for the women to get their share. Yuck.

Ealasaid - as much as i agree with that sentiment ("everyday should be like v-day") i must admit that i get into the "spirit" of it all.

my girlfriend and i are going to a nice/simple italian dinner followed by some chocolate-dipped strawberrys. probably continuing the celebration at la fondue (http://www.lafondue.com) on sunday. i also have scheduled a delivery of 2 dozen roses to her office.
